July 10, 2008

July 22 is the date of the big American Association’s All Star Baseball Game. The Saint Paul Saints will present the 2008 American Association All-Star Game in partnership with Medica. Minnesota’s 150 years of statehood will be featured as the theme of this 2-day event. Umpires will review decisions using video replay, which will be streamed to a mobile phone kept in umpire crew chief’s pocket, giving him immediate access to the play from his position on the field. The umpire will be able to control the video – functions such as rewind, fast forward and pause – from his phone using Slingbox technology.
