November 23, 1910

Pennington County is created. It commemorates Edmund Pennington, president of the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie (Soo) Railroad.

Thanks to Carver Scott Educational Cooperative-students in the Stepping Stones and Ascent Programs for the research on November’s Day in History.

Thanks also to Minnesota’s Learn and Serve America Service Learning Program for their help.
