The Little Sisters of the Poor established their convent in St. Paul. The Sisters began as a Hospitallers Order in Saint Servan, Brittany, France, dedicated to serving the elderly poor and infirm, and they maintain convents and hospitality houses all over the world.

Thanks to Mrs. Judi Vittito’s 6th grade class at Northfield Middle School for the research on September’s Day in History.

Thanks also to Minnesota’s Learn and Serve America Service Learning Program for their help.
