August 12th, 1984

The first Minnesota Twin is inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, Pennsylvania. Harmon Killebrew played for the Twins and hit 573 homeruns during his Major League Baseball career and continues to be one of the best-known players among Minnesotans.
