Welcome to 2008! This year will be filled with fun activities, especially since it’s the 150th anniversary of Minnesota!

10. Go downhill skiing at one of the local ski resorts.
9. Check out a Wilds game at the Xcel Energy Center.
8. Take a family trip and go Ice Fishing.
7. Be sure to make it to the Winter Carnival this year, going on Jan, 23rd-Feb. 3rd.
6. Go back to your childhood days and pull out the sleds!
5. Check out the Roseville Jazz Festival on January 12th.
4. Try a new class, whether it is cooking, exercise or knitting, community service centers offer all types of new classes with the New Year!
3. Take advantage of all the after Christmas sales with a visit to the Mall of America!
2. Spend a weekend at “the cabin up north”; drink hot chocolate and sleep by the fireplace
1. Spend time with the ones you love and be sure to take advantage of all the events going on for the Sesquicentennial!

The Marlborough apartment-hotel is destroyed by a burning cigarette tossed into a garbage chute. Eighteen people died, 25 were hospitalized and 4 were missing.
